My name is Qurat, I'm 17 and I'm about to be a college sophomore. :D

I've been drawing for about seven, nearly eight years now. Though, I think it's more like five/six since I haven't done much but doodle for the last two years, but shhh, seven/eight sounds more impressive! ;D

I started out doing anime and I found it wasn't for me so I switched up my style about three years ago, so if you notice that I have certain anime-esque tendencies in my art, that's why. I've tried to make my style more cartoon-y than realistic, and I think it's worked, but I like to mix a little bit of everything into it.

My influences (in my newer style, at least) have been ZhuZhu, TestDrive, NorthernBanshee, Nashya, and my good friend harrysde.

My "tools of the trade" are usually pencils, ballpoint pens (colored ones too), Fibracolor markers (really awful, btw), Photoshop CS2 and Painter IX.

Other than that, I have a really bad habit of just starting a picture and never actually finishing it, so here's hoping that this journal doesn't turn into a sketchblog. D:
